Whether you choose your perfect tree from our vast display area, visit our plantations to tag a tree or ask us to select one for you, we'll do all we can to deliver on a day that is convenient to you. We do require 48 hours notice to organise this service.

Types Of Trees

We sell four main varieties of trees: Blue Spruce, Frazer Fir, Norman Fir and Norway Spruce

Blue Spruce

Apart from its distinctive silvery blue colour, this variety produces an amazing citrus aroma and is also good at holding its needles. The only real draw back, is that this varieties needles tend to be more spiky than others!

Frazer Fir

Very good at holding its needles but are quite narrow which is perfect if you are limited on space. They have strong upward branches ideal for hanging heavy decorations. Frazers have quirky irregular shapes, so no two are ever the same.

Nordman Fir

The most popular variety, these are generally very bushy, have thick needles and very good needle holding qualities. They are one of the slowest-growing varieties taking up to 9 years to reach 6 foot!

Norway Spruce

The traditional Christmas Tree which many people associate with the festive season. This variety has tiny, thin needles that used to have a bad reputation for dropping, but if kept watered and kept away from direct heat, this tree will hold its needles very well.

Pot Grown Trees

We also offer a selection of Pot Grown Christmas Trees with roots, and these trees are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Being planted in its own pot means you can plant it on in your garden after Christmas or keep it outside until next year. If you keep it in its pot, you will need to keep repotting it every year to allow for the roots to spread and the tree to grow.

Pot Grown Trees only come in smaller sizes because the pot determines the size of the rootball, and therefore, growth beyond a certain height. Their smaller sizes allow them to be displayed on tables, given as gifts or for homes where space is limited!

Caring For Your Christmas Tree

One of the most important things to help keep your tree as fresh as possible and prolong its needle holding ability is to have a water holding tree base along with the following simple steps:

  1. As soon as you arrive home, cut 2cm from the base of the trunk and place in a bucket of water like you would a cut flower.
  2. Store your tree outside in a damp, shady place in the bucket of water until you are ready to put your tree up in the home.
  3. To display your tree in your home, place in a water holding tree base, preferably away from radiators or direct heat.
  4. And don't forget to check and top up the water for your tree daily as it is surprising how much they can drink!
