We offer three ways to get your Christmas tree: tag one in advance and collect it later, choose and cut your own on the day, or pick one of our freshly cut trees. If you cut your own or choose a fresh cut tree, you can take it home with you there and then, collect it later, or have it delivered on a date to suit you - tagged trees can be delivered too, just let us know.

You must book a time slot to visit us at the weekends if you haven't tagged your tree already - this is not required during weekdays.

Tree tagging enables you to choose a Christmas tree in the plantation from early October which you can collect/have delivered to your home at a later date.

Tickets cost £10.00 (one ticket admits one car) which is refundable when you purchase your tree on the day of visit. This ticket enables us to manage the flow of people so your experience is as Christmassy and enjoyable as possible! The refundable charge is because last year we had people booking multiple tickets and not attending, so we hope you understand. You can view tree prices here.

You will not be allowed entry into our plantation until your booked timeslot.

If you would like to tag a tree over 9' tall, please email elves@welfordchristmastreefarm.co.uk to book an appointment.

The British Christmas Tree Growers Association or BCTGA was established in 1979 to provide a quality standard for Christmas tree growers across the UK. As members there is a Code of Practice that we must adhere to that ensures our trees are grown in an environmental and sustainable manner whilst at the same time cultivating well shaped, sturdy, healthy trees.

The BCTGA was set up as a result of the Christmas tree trade suffering at the hands of roadside 'cowboys' who were giving the public a raw deal. The Associations aim is to produce a 'kite mark' to label members trees with a stamp of quality so when you buy your tree from us you can do so with confidence.

BCTGA Awards

The BCTGA hold their annual award ceremony to pick the best-of-the-best when it comes to trees and wreaths. The winner gets the chance to have their tree or wreath displayed at No.10 Downing Street each year.

We are proud to say we have won several awards at these prestigious ceremonies (the Christmas tree equivalent of the BAFTAS!) and our wreaths have adorned No. 10 in 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2020 and our trees were chosen to be inside No. 10 in 2015 and the Prime Minister's home in 2016.
